A Delightful Saturday in Amsterdam

Saturday we got up at 10 am. The weather in Amsterdam is lovely. Nice and hot...although since we are not accustomed to the heat anymore..we sweat profusely. GROSS!!
We ate breakfast on our way to the Anne Frank House at some absurd little shop where the server looked like Aladdin. Then the adventure began. It was unbelievable (and slightly ironic) how hard it was for us to find Anne Franks hiding place. Everytime we would check our location on the map it would somewhere insanely wrong... i cant even explain how odd the journey was. Once we finally found it, we waited in a massive que. It costs 7.50euro to go in and check it out. Its actually really cool. There is no furnature in there...but they have pictures that would show how it looked, its sort of odd to be in the actual place where she lived before she was killed. After Anne Frank, we headed to the Maddame Toursaut Wax Museum,it was horrifying. It costs 15.50euro to get in but its definitly worth the experience. It starts out simply enough...just alittle history of Holland, then out of no where u are thrown into a live Pirates of the Carribean show. Here I am walking along, about the capture a photo of what i think is a wax statue of Orlando Bloom, when suddenly it leaps out at me and the horror begins...sent into the pitch black maze where u can never know if something is wax or real. After the Pirates exhibit comes the celebrities...its real fun to take pictures with them. Although, they were still a bit dodgey, couldnt trust my judgement between wax and life anymore.
After the Wax museum our plan was to go to THe Van Gogh Museum but it closed at around 6 and we had wasted out entire day looking for Anne Frank. Every other touristy thing had closed so we were left to wonder about again. Hit up some Bars... great craic...went to bed early though bc we had many plans to see the sites of Amsterdam before our bus to the airport at 3pm.
